Privacy notice

1. Operator
The operator responsible for this website is:
E-Mail:
2. Cookies and registration comparison
The registration experiment uses no cookies, local storage or persistent visitor identifiers. When enabled, each page request randomly receives one of two designs. We count served homepages and accepted requests by UTC date, variant, language and alert channel. These counters contain no contact details. Returning visitors may see both designs.
A signed form code, valid for two hours, associates a request with the page served. It is not saved in browser storage. Preview submissions are simulated: no registration data is saved or sent.
3. Registration data and sign-up
When you sign up we process your email address or mobile number, the chosen alert channel, the language, your request together with the version of the text shown to you, an identifier of the page view, the time and the page variant shown. We do not store your IP address; for abuse prevention it only becomes a keyed check value that changes every hour.
Clicking the labelled submit button explicitly orders the free alerts. The subscription is active at once; there is no additional confirmation click. Immediately afterwards you receive a confirmation on the chosen channel with an unsubscribe link. If you did not sign up yourself, one click on that link is enough.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We use your details to send you the alerts you asked for and the confirmation. The basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future. We keep the evidence of your consent (time, text version, language, page variant, check value) because we are required to (Article 7(1)). Necessary technical operation, abuse prevention and limited evaluation of the sign-up flow rely on our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and usable service (Article 6(1)(f)).
5. Hosting, sending and recipients
The website, the sign-up and the database run on the operator’s own server at IONOS in Germany. Your email address or mobile number is stored there encrypted. Cloudflare sits in front as a protection and delivery service; this involves technically necessary connection data including the IP address. There is no longer a database at Cloudflare.
For sending we use providers that receive your address or number and the message text: email is sent through Google Workspace (Gmail) from the address monitor@stauagent.de, SMS through TextBee and a mobile phone of the operator. At Google, processing may also take place outside the EU.
To recognise duplicate reports and to shorten SMS texts we send public traffic reports to OpenAI, never your contact details.
After every sign-up the operator receives a note through Telegram. It contains the alert channel, the language, the page variant and your contact only in shortened form, for example m***@example.org. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Privacy information of the services used: Cloudflare, Google, TextBee, OpenAI and Telegram.
6. Retention
Your contact stays stored while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe it is deleted 30 days later; until then it prevents messages already prepared from still being sent and allows questions to be settled. After that only an irreversible check value and the consent evidence without the contact remain, for at most three years. Delivery logs without message content are deleted after twelve months, technical events and the raw form of evaluated reports after 30 days. The counters of the A/B comparison contain no contact details. Encrypted backups of the server may remain until their retention period ends.
7. Alerts and sources
The service monitors public VIZ Berlin and BVG Info reports every five minutes. It is a private StauAgent service, not an official traffic authority. Reports may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. Check official sources before important journeys. SMS sender: .
8. Your rights and unsubscribing
You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, withdraw consent, object where applicable, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Every confirmation and every alert contains an unsubscribe link; one click is enough, and email programs additionally show their own unsubscribe button. To exercise your other rights, email . Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully performed before withdrawal.
9. Updates
This notice is updated when the service changes. The current version is available here.
